Description: This DVD release is a recording of a concert that was unique not just in Serbia – everyone who knows Serbian brass music, knows how hard it is to coordinate the sounds of trumpet, tenor, helicon and percussionists within one huge orchestra in order to achieve a harmony by which our orchestras are widely known for. Here this is achieved with 100 musicians from the best orchestras in Serbia.
Dragan Babic and Maksut Maksutovic, experienced connoisseurs of the trumpet sound, came up with this original idea, and were not afraid to realize it – the most beautiful Serbian and Russian songs, performed by this gigantic orchestra sound inspirational and powerful, and this is all completed by the unparalleled visual impression of 100 musicians on a stage.
This concert was held on October 19th 2009 at the Republic Square in Belgrade, for the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade in WWII.
The proceeds from this release are donated to the humanitarian project "Food for All" (Hrana za sve).
