Elite Model Management corporation has been created and managed by the American John Casablancas, he is recognized as the premier international model agent. John Casablancas founded the Model agency called Elite Model Management in 1971 in Paris. In 1977, after having estabilished the agency firmly in Europe, John Casablancas was determined to take on the largest and the most entrenched agencies in New York City, the modeling capital of the World. His entry to the market precipitated what is known as a "model wars" among what were the "Big 4"agencies.
