Description: The group Irfan Muertes consists of: drums, two bases, trumpet and vocal – Nikola, Tacna, Zoran, Mafa and Paja. Since 1998, when they first got together, they published two albums: S/T (samizdat, 2001) and EP (Rapanelli Records, 2006), and they also appeared on the compilation "Leopard’s Tale" (Leopardov rep) in 2001 with two of their songs.
They recorded soundtracks for two low-budget films, "Ritam 42" by Katarina Cirilovic and "Hleb" by Jelena Besir, as well as for "Posmrtni mars Irfana Muertesa" by Nedim Hadziahmetovic – Mafa, the band’s trumpet player. They also played at fashion shows and appeared at the famous Pepsi Sziget Festival in Budapest three times (2001, 2002, and 2004). Other important appearances of the group include "Break" festival in Slovenia in 2000 and the tour of Czech Republic, together with a French band "Bumblebees". Their music was called "Balkan punk with a trumpet" by a Czech magazine, while the French called them "a strange rock and roll band with a trumpet".
Since their first concert in 1998 at the "Rex" movie theatre (Belgrade), where their played after an invitation of one of their friends, they are known as one of the domestic bands with the most original appearance, and that they did more gigs abroad than in Serbia.
